A plan by Wavensmere homes has Wolverhampton Set to see a £150 million pound redevelopment on a former industrial estate which has frontage onto the Wyrley and Essington canal. The development is set to build over 500 homes, across a 17 acre site.

These homes will be a mix of two and three bedroom homes as well as one and two bedroom apartments, which will also be eco focused while building.

James Dickens, Managing Director of Wavensmere Homes, said:“Our team has a strong history of regenerating vacant land in the Black Country, and we are preparing to transform this site into a landmark development that the whole region can be immensely proud of. 70% of our existing supply chain is embedded into the Black Country, and the construction programme will create more than 100 jobs. We are keen to receive comments and input from local people about our plans to reanimate this strategic stretch of canalside land.”

so with new homes and jobs on the horizon its a bright day for wolverhamptons future.
