The just ended election has seen the labour party claim victory in mayoral election in the country's big cities, and the addition of new councillors and member of parliaments. This informed Wolverhampton's labour branch to hold a meeting in the city centre, in the glare view of the public.

The group trooped in their numbers, despite the rain, as they listened to their group leader, who reiterated their party's policies for the country. Some of the issues discussed where the Labour leader's pledge to 'deliver economic stability', 'cut NHS waiting times', 'launch a new border security command', which is to prevent illegal migrants from entering the country, 'set up Great British Energy' 'crack down on antisocial behaviour', as a result of the rising stabbings and criminal records that is rife within the country.

Also, the promise by Keir Stammer to recruit 6500 new teachers, came as a good news to parents, who have bitterly complained about the inadequate resources available for their children's educational wellbeing. This is expected to minimise unemployment, and lessen the burden within the education sector.

In addition, the meeting ended with the participants feeling hopeful ahead of the upcoming general election, and positive about the policies that will ensure progress in the lives of people, and the effective management of the country's public purse.
